Yesteryear is a beautiful cabin nestled in the woods. It's a close drive to many of the trails. We love staying here!
The property is well maintained and in a convenient location to all the sites in Hocking Hills.
The cabin was easy to get to and had just enough separation from other cabins to feel quite secluded. Quick drive to all the places I wanted to see. Very clean. Great price point and easy booking.

Nice cabin, Loved the hot tub
We picked a week that was raining every day and didn't bring any rain gear. Thankful that this cabin had the hot tub and grill. We only left one time to get supplies. Would stay again but would look at the forecast and be prepared next time. Still had a great time.
Peaceful and cozy place to stay.
The drive was easy. Cabin was very clean and super comfortable. Has all the pots and pans and dishes to cook in the cabin. Stove is a little outdated but everything else is above par. Cabin is secluded and was very quiet. Would recommend to anyone wanting a little get away.

A very cozy and private getaway located in the perfect spot.
The cabin was very well taken care of, and had all the needed amenities. The location was just private enough that you can take in all of the peace and quiet. It's also located very close to the caves for those who want to check that out. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
Great stay at Yesteryear!
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The decor was really cute. Being surrounded by trees felt like you were in a remote and private location even though other cabins were just around the bend. I would definitely recommend! One of the roads leading to the cabins is rough so 4 wheel drive is best.

Unfortunately, our most recent stay was during a massive wind event knocking out power to thousands in the area. Our hosts responded to our texts quickly and even refunded our stay when we left early, though we never asked for such a thing since this was no one's fault. Real human empathy.We have stayed at their cabins several times and always go back. The facilities are excellent, secluded, and roomy. The hosts are easy to work with for any reason. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a very relaxing stay at yesterday cabin. When we pulled into the drive we realized we had stayed at the same cabin a number of years before however this time everything seemed to be cleaner and more accessible. Yesteryear Cabin
We wanted a cabin for two with a hot tub that was secluded and yet easy to navigate to nearby trails in Hoking Hills. This cabin delivered just that. It was an easy drive to this clean, peaceful, and cozy cabin. My only suggestion if you are city people like we are, is to bring bottled drinking water. While the well water is potable, it's just a city-person thing! We loved this location especially the porch and will definitely return in the future!
Yesteryear
This was our 3rd visit to Highrock Hidayways and will definitely be back next summer. The cabins are always clean and stocked, customer service is always excellent and the property seems to just keep getting better each visit. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
Yesteryear Cabin - Weekend Trip
I'll keep the review specific to the cabin - although we did enjoy everything else we did for the weekend. (hiking, sightseeing, kayaking) My girlfriend and I rented the Yesteryear cabin for the weekend to get away. Not too hard to find, we did make one wrong turn upon entering the property but were quickly redirected! The cabin was just what we hoped for, tucked away and out of sight. We stayed in the Yesteryear cabin. It appeared to be new and very clean. It had all the amenities we wanted such as a hot tub, a gas grill, direct Tv, WiFi owners were trialing and it worked wonderfully all weekend. Also it was secluded and very quiet. Better than the pictures! Also to note the cabin does have a working stove that does not appear in the pictures or the description. We will be back! T

We really enjoyed our stay at Yesteryear. It is nice cozy one room cabin. My husband is 78 years old and uses a walker. There was plenty of room for him to maneuver in the cabin and outside on the deck. We had a little maintenance problem but once they were notified 2 very polite, friendly and professional men showed up within the hour. They corrected the problem within 40 minutes. We want to return in the Spring.

We enjoyed our stay at Yesteryear - it's cozy and comfortable for two people. The bed was comfortable - we brought our own pillows. The cabin had all the things we needed for our 2 night stay - it was clean upon arrival and everything was in working order. Entry and exit instructions were very clear. We did take advantage of the hot tub and enjoyed time on the deck with the high deck chairs and views into the forest. We would return again.

My husband and I enjoyed our relaxing stay in "Yesteryear." It had everything we needed. It is more spacious than it appears on the website with plenty of room for the two of us without ever feeling cramped. I think this would be the case even in the cooler weather when you might be inside more than we were. My husband and I vacationed in the Yesteryear cabin. The seclusion of the cabin was amazing!! We felt like we were in our own little world with our own piece of heaven. We loved it so much, we made reservations for this fall. From the hot tub, to the fire pit, to early mornings on the wrap around porch, it is easy to fall in love with this place!!
Comfy Cabin in Beautiful Area
Our anniversary celebration at Yesteryear was great. The cabin was beautiful with a new hardwood floor - even better than the online photos. We took advantage of the hot tub, the grill and the convenient seating all around the huge porch. The property is close to all the famous tourist attractions. This is a wonderful way to "check out" for a few days and just enjoy nature (and maybe a little wine!). Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Our adult children recommended High Rock Hideaways and specifically the Yesteryears Cabin for a get-away. We found the cabin to be charming, clean and welcoming with appropriate amenities. We enjoyed an evening fire with the provided wood each night. Our favorite part of the experience was the privacy. We enjoyed our stay so much we are making plans to return!
Labor Day Weekend
My wife and I really enjoyed staying at Yesteryear over the Labor Day weekend. We packed plenty of food and enjoyed using the grill. Saturday consisted of leisurely reading and napping on the deck then a comfortable dip in the hot tub. We plan on staying at this cabin again in the future.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Yesteryear cabin. My husband and I very much needed a getaway because of the extensive hours he has been working. Yesteryear was very nice and clean with a great outside deck and hot tub. It rained while I was there and I enjoyed hearing the rain on the metal roof. Cute retro decor and comfortable bed. I did not get a chance to hike their property but loved the hand drawn map they provide. The cabin is in a good location to see the normal sites but the lack of any cell or WIFi service and the sulfur smelling water took a bit of a adjustment. Owner's reply: Victoria we appreciate your comments. Due to the hilly nature of Hocking Hills cell phone reception can be challenging and it also varies by service provider. Also, as of yet WIFi service is not available in that area. Some of our guests stated they liked being unplugged for a while, others...not so much. As to the water situation it is well water which is filtered and run through a water conditioner but at times it may have a sulfur smell to it. - If cancelled more than 30 days in advance of your stay there is a 10% cancellation fee.
- If cancelled less than 30 days, but more than 7 days in advance from your stay there is a 50% cancellation fee.
- If cancelled less than 7 days from your stay there is no refund of any kind.
